Myroe Levels comprises reclaimed farmland, protected from Lough Foyle by a sea wall. A network of sheughs (open field drainage ditches), on the farmland and the Lough shore itself provide a variety of habitats where you will experience spectacular wintering populations of whooper and Bewick’s swan, along with great crested grebe, widgeon, shelduck and teal. Keep an eye out for common seal and otters as well.
